Call To Action

CTA's annual convention in Milwaukee drew several thousand Progressive Catholics from around the country. Several dozen from the St. Louis area attended. All the issues that energize Progressive Catholics were presented in large gatherings and discussed in small caucuses.

A beautiful eulogy for Sister Dorothy Stang presented by Rose Elizondo was particularly moving. Dorothy's brother helped us know this great woman better.

Canadian Bishop Remi De Roo offered wisdom and insight on the future of the church. His recent encounter with a teen who told him that his age group had lost interest in religion because the church was "boring, and gave old answers to questions nobody cared about" should be a wake-up call for us all!

Consider attending next year. It's sunshine and warm breezes for the soul.
