No one should be silent about the Gaza Holocaust, so I must add my two cents worth:
From the first days of the State of Israel there has been a special relation between the US and the Jewish land. Remember? We were the very first country to recognize the new independent state.
The Brits, with all their empire skills, were delighted to shed responsibility for this unmanageable area. So with the best of intentions we became Israel's partner... junior partner. Over time our role has settled into into banker, armorer and backup bully.
Today some of the blood flowing in Gaza stains our hands. Knee-jerk approval of every Israeli military adventure has to stop!
The cry "Remember the Holocaust!" cannot justify every atrocity.
