Bishop John Michael Botean

Look him up! A spiritual leader we can admire and follow.

While our politicians beat their war drums, Bishop Botean wrote the only pastoral letter criticizing the impending war in Iraq.

LCR,

I'm guessing your post on Bishop Botean is partly in response to my comment below.

Thanks for the example.

Now, let's go the next step. Give me a link, or tell me where and when in Bishop Botean's career, when either in the Romanian Eparchy or the American half of his rule, he met a nun who helped ordain a woman as a priest. Or find for me his "pastoral" treatment of a priest who left one diocese for another and then started dispensing the sacraments out against the rules of either the Eastern or Western rites.

Find me either of those examples and tell me how he reacted in a different way than Archbishop Burke did in his treatment of Sr. LEars, Mr. Bozek or Fr. Kleba.

When you show me this then we will have the basis for discussion of why Archbishop Burke has acted so badly.

I am maintaining that he had little choice.
