that came about as a result of the Vatican's refusal to support the safety of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people through out the world.

Soulforce http://www.soulforce.org/ has been in dialogue with the
Papal Nuncio to the United Nations for some time now, hoping to help
them understand the damage the Vatican has done with this and other
statements that demean and deminish LGBTs. Over the last decade their
rhetoric and actions have only increased and the Church has become the
major proponent of anti-gay legislation throughout the world.

We are coming together from all over the country in NYC April 21-23 to
further the communication concerning the consistent antigay language
and actions of the Vatican. At the same time, there will also be
local solidarity actions in Little Rock, , Dallas, Phoenix, Detroit,
Los Angeles, New Haven, and St. Louis. Soulforce invites you to
join us in NYC or any of the other cities in helping to change hearts
and minds one person at a time and to become the "change we seek."
