Finally the word 'finance' has surfaced in discussions of the rather murky investigation of women religious currently being carried out by The Vatican.
The women under investigation, most notably those who minister in health care, control a considerable amount of valuable property. Would it be crass to suggest that the investigation might indicate more than a passing interest in the eventual disposition of such property?

Where are you getting the evidence to infer that the investigation is sourced in a desire to take over property?
Well, okay! If you are stuck on the fantasy explanation of why the Archdiocese must have St. Stan's then lets just continue with that logic.
Let me offer this thought experiment.
If these orders are laicized (if that's the right word) following the investigation do you think they would just stop functioning? No. They would continue to call themselves an organization of "women in the Catholic Tradition" and continue their strange ways.
Now if by some construal of canon law their assets are taken ask yourself could those orders continue without cash flow?
No.
Q.E.D. Take the assets and crush the heresy. Leave the assets alone and watch the birth of a new Gaia based order of overweight liturgical dancers.
Now if you were entrusted to uphold the Catholic Faith in its original and developed Truth, that is if you were the Vatican, what would YOU do?
TAKE THE ASSETS.
It is the duty of the Vatican to defund the "BEYOND JESUS" conferences.
BTW. Where will St. Cronan's go after the Boyle Ave. Church is seized?
Answer: Some rented hall, or maybe the Central Congregation Synagoge.
You see my point.
