CAN action on the misuse of $10,000

Dear Friends of CAN,

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are enjoying time with friends and family this weekend.

* If you can please join us this Sunday at the Cathedral Basilica from 11:30-1:30. This is a time to come together and peacefully tell the Archdiocese of Saint Louis, that there are better uses for the local $10,000 Catholic dollars, than to support the anti-gay marriage ballot measure in Maine. Invite friends to join us. We will be sharing what we think the $10,000 discretionary dollars could be used for locally.

LCR,

It's not a misuse of dollars in any way. Catholics believe marriage requires sex and sex is defined as a very specific act of genital union. Gays cannot perform this unitive act Q.E.D. they cannot perform consumating, sacrament fulfilling sex.

All your Church is trying to do is protect the funky facts of life from the sentimental embellishment that calls itself 'gay marriage".

LCR, if you believe gays can be married then you believe that on your wedding night you could have proposed an assortment of erotically trivial acts and your bride would have been pleased at your humilating failure to finish the business and do the essentials.

Do you follow me?

The Church is spending $10,000.00 to say yes to real sex and no to imaginary sex.

I gotta back the Church on this one.
