This seemed too inflammatory, so I decided not to publish it. Then one of our local ubercatholics had another go at CAN...
We see that the Saint Louis Fascist Catholic Blogger has sent his snitch to filch a copy of CRONAN CHRONICLES. He positively drools with glee proclaiming that a spontaneous act of love on the part of Sister Louise Lears' mother will drag the entire St. Cronan congregation to hell.
And while we're on the subject of hell, who the hell authorized Archbishop Carlson to contribute ten grand of church funds to the gay-bashing political movement in Maine? The people there only want civil recognition of their unions with the word marriage, and to be given the usual secular benefits. Opposing this is hate-based discrimination... ask anyone in the GLBT community.

LCR,
Puhleeeze. When St. Cronan's actively advertises on their website that 1.) Sr. Lears received an unusual temptation to sin at the behest of her Cronan friends, who filled her hands with the consecrated species when she is forbidden to partake and when
2.) that same website advertises a Vesper service run by Rabbi Susan Talve, then 3.) give me a break, who is snitching.
The Parish of St. Cronan's is publishing their differences with the ARchdiocese.
Much as you are.
LCR,
The Cronan's Chronicles is published as a link on the St. Cronan's website. It is there for all to see. It is intended for all to see. When you put something in cyber space the presumption is that you want about a million people to see it.
Obviously the St. Cronan's Community WANTS the Catholic community to know what they think of Archbishop Burke's interdict. That's the point of the Sr. Lear's-with-a-handful-of-hosts-story.
All fine and good. But why all the crying and whining because another site picked up on a publically lauded and advertised act of defiance towards the Archbishop.
You can't have it both ways. You can't defy authority and break a rule in front of an audience of half a million and then complain when the authorities heard that you broke a rule.
Look, LCR. As Joan Rivers used to say, "Can we talk?"
What drives the "ubercatholic" community (to use your term) crazy is the childishness of the Cronan's community. Even teenagers know that when they are caught out they will be punished. Only children steal cookies then tell Mommy she is mean.
You guys have publically embraced Gay Marriage and women priests.
Why do you think you won't be called out on this? Nobody is "filching" or "snitching". You guys are advertising apostasy and griping about being noticed.
If you say you want to do the Super Bowl Half time show don't complain if a lot of folks notice your deliberate wardrobe failures.
This isn't just childish. It's narcissistic!
